Since joining the firm in 2001, he has worked primarily in Pharma/Healthcare Sector. Prior to joining McKinsey he worked as a resident and research fellow for the Department of the Cardiology, University Hospital Großhadern, Munich. His research focused on angiogenesis and reperfusion damage, he was part of the Schwerpunktprogramm Angiogenese (SPP 1069) of the Deutsche-Forschungs- Gesellschaft and was cooperating with the De Bakey Heart Center, Houston, Tx. Besides he worked as a consultant for Percardia, Inc., an American company developing cardio-surgical devices, and as a freelancer for Sankyo. He received his degree as an MD from the University of Erlangen/Nuremberg and holds the USMLE.
